If you have a shared hosting account and need to create a Cron Job then follow these simple steps. Cron jobs are scheduled tasks that allow you to run a script in the background at a set frequency.<\/p>\n

HOW TO SETUP GODADDY CRON JOBS INSTRUCTIONS<\/h2>\n

Login to your Godaddy Account<\/p>\n

Click on Cron Job Manager<\/p>\n

Click on Create Cron Job<\/p>\n

Enter a title for the job e.g Backup Website Business Legions<\/p>\n

For the frequency, set when you want the script to run: e.g daily, weekly, hourly<\/p>\n

In command, enter the commands or script file you want to run. Here’s a few examples:<\/p>\n

To backup your website\/directory use<\/h3>\n

Note the syntax above saves the file as SaveFilename[date].zip – it includes the date and time so that it doesn’t overwrite previous backup. This will increase your disk space but will ensure you at least have different versions of you backup.<\/p>\n
