How to enable AFP on the Buffalo Linkstation

Can’t get your Apple Mac to connect to the file shares on the Buffalo Linkstation? The first thing you to do is make sure you have network access to the Buffalo Linkstation server by browsing to the IP address. Just open an Internet Browser and type in the IP address or use the NAS Navigator2.
Once you have confirmed that it is connected to the network, click on Network, then at the bottom make sure AFP (Apple Filing Protocol) is enabled. If this is not enable then your Mac won’t be able to browse the files on the Buffalo server:
