Resume – The improvement process
May 17, 2011 / by Marco / Categories : BusinessSo I was on the train this week and the guy in front of me had his laptop out. I obviously had the urge just to take a quick peek to see what he was working on and I was surprised to see what he was doing.
He was working on his resume which is not that unusual but he kept switching between his resume and the website called linkedin.
Upon closer inspection he was looking for people in his industry and copying some of their profile information. Why you may be asking? It propably sounded professional and he liked it. This is what I call the improvement process.
Back in the days, updating or finding things to write in your resume was a chore. Normally, you would ask your friends or family members to send you a copy of their resume and you would take some bits, change them and basically improve it.
Now, you have linkedin to thank. Everyone has their resume information on their profile so improving your own resume is so much easier. I just want to thank this guy for giving me this idea.
