I came across an awesome video on how to use Autodesk 123D (free tool) to create 3D prints. You can download the software package from here. The tutorial is very clear and it seems simple to use. I believe in the next few years many of us techies will own a 3D printer and we will be able to quickly design a prototype object and print it to see how it looks like. If I have a bit of time this year I will play around with it. If you want find out more information about 3D printing and it’s opportunities have a read of this Click Here! or check this out! the opportunities are endless.
