Migrating to Goggle Apps
September 20, 2011 / by Marco / Categories : TechnologyI recently migrated my company`s emails to Google Apps. Initially, I thought the process was going to be painful but to my surprise it was quite easy and straight forward.
The main reason why we moved away from our existing email provider was because of the storage issue. As part of the hosting package they offered 100 MB of storage. If you have 5 email accounts then that means that each account will have 20 MB each. From these figures you can understand why we decided to use Google Apps. Gmail offers 7GB of free storage for each account. The switch was a no brainer.
The other advantage of moving to Google Apps is the Sites feature which allows you to create websites for your company our even publish these to the public.
So make the switch and let me know if you run into any problems.
