Is your website Mobile Friendly
April 20, 2015 / by Marco / Categories : Google
This week Google is making a major update to it’s mobile search algorithm. It will basically change the order in which websites are ranked when using a smartphone or tablet. So if your website is currently receiving lots of traffic from smartphone or tablet devices this will change tomorrow (21st April 2015). If your website is mobile friendly you may be in luck and receive more traffic – it’s hard to say what Google will actually do unless you have a deep understanding of how the Google Mobile algorithm works.
The best way to check if you’re website is mobile friendly just use your mobile phone or table and visit your website and see if it displays correctly ie no horizontal scroll bars.
Google has a tool to test if your website is mobile friendly.
I’ve tested our Business Legions Blog (https://www.businesslegions.com/blog/) website and it’s mobile friendly however as an example the root domain (http://www.businesslegions.com/) is not mobile friendly so I’ll have to update this.
