Make money writing articles on your blog
June 17, 2013 / by Marco / Categories : Business, Make Money
Making money from your blog is not an easy task especially if you’re just a beginner. Even for bloggers who have tried for several years to earn a decent income from blogging are still struggling. Most bloggers believe that placing Google Adsense (Advertising Banners or Text) on your blog (on the right hand side or within the articles) will generate a steady cash flow. Unfortunately, based on my experiences, that’s not the case. For this to work (make money from your website), your blog needs to receive lots of visitors and traffic. Lots = thousands of unique visitors a day or more. Even if you do receive lots of traffic, the visitors needs to click on the banners in order for you to receive payment from the advertisers. This is called Click Through Rate and this figure is very low.
So maybe you may make a few hundred of dollars over the year and this money can be used to pay for your hosting or domain but I just recently I came across a company that pays the blogger a decent amount of money for writing an article on your own blog. I was approached by a company called SocialSpark.com to write a sponsored article on my blog and was offered more than I normally make from Google Adsense so I decided to give it a go. After 30 days, I received the agreed amount in my paypal account. I now have been offered to write a few more sponsored articles and have actually made more money than Google Adsense – just by writing two sponsored articles!!!
So my advice is to sign up, submit your blogs and see if you can make some decent amount of money. Just note, that they do review your website to make sure it meets certain criterias, e.g. if your blog has a gap in posting of more than 30 days in the past 90 days then it will be declined. You’ve got nothing to lose so sign up.
